New Challenges In Flavored USDA Certified Organic Beverages

Beverage Manufacturers using organic-compliant flavors will need to change to organic-certified flavors in the coming months in order to comply with important changes to the NOP National List Final Rule.

The final rule was amended to revise the annotation of flavors in section § 205.605(a), and changes the allowance for non-organic flavors to require the use of organic flavors when they are commercially available.  These changes will take effect on December 27, 2019.  As the industry’s pioneer in Organic Certified flavors, Blue Pacific Flavors, Inc. has one of the largest portfolios of USDA Certified Organic Flavors and asset-aligned and reliable Certified Organic supply chain to address these changes. Blue Pacific Flavors is rapidly increasing the organic portfolio in response to the regulatory changes in order to serve the market demand with these changes.
